What the seller said about the set "Here is a 1948 Gilbert 6 1/2 erector set in a cardboard box with over 100 parts ,box with screws  and  nuts , motor and some tools  . Instructions are not included in this set . All the parts seem to be in good condition ,box shows wear . Buyer pays S/H."

What the seller said about the set "This erector set comes with the reversing electric engine that still works good. The exterior bottom of the box has wear. The inside and contents are in very good condition. I believe most of the parts are there but not sure (see photo). The set is dated 1954 while the book is copyrighted 1935 and 1938. The book has some dog ears, lost corners, and a few tears but it is nice to have to show models for #1-#6 1/2 erector sets."
